Do You Know How Much Pond Liner You Need?
Take the guesswork out of calculating the amount of liner you need. Always allow an extra 1.5' of overlap around the pond's perimeter. So, this equates to 3' in length and width.
Formula for determining the liner length:
Max Length + Twice the Depth + 3 ft = Liner Length
Formula for determining the liner width:
Max Width + Twice the Depth + 3 ft = Liner Width
Example: Your pond is 15' long, 10' wide and 3' deep at the deepest point.
Figuring the length with the example:
15' + 3'(2) + 3' = 24'
Figuring the width with the example:
10' + 3'(2) + 3' = 19'
Your liner needs to be 24' long x 19' wide
