Broad Range Liquid Herbicide 8.53% Diaquat

  • Gives broad range control of submerged, floating and emergent species of weeds
  • It is mixed with Cutrine Plus in many cases for control of hard to kill species such as Duckweed and if algae is present simultaneously

  • Optimum results are seen if weeds are young and actively growing
  • As stated below in dosage instructions, if you are using to treat for floating weeds, duckweed or marginal weeds, a non-ionic surfactant, such as Pond Logic Treatment Booster Plus, is required

Brief Summary of Recommended Dosage Rates (Always read and follow entire instructions):

Submersed Weeds:

Early Spring (weeds aren't at the surface): Pour directly from container into the water in strips 40 feet apart or dilute using 21 oz Weedtrine D per gallon of water and apply as a surface spray or underwater injection.

Late Season (weeds are at the surface): Pour directly from container into the water in strips 20 feet apart or dilute using 42 oz Weedtrine D per gallon of water.

Floating Weeds:

Requires the use of a non-ionic surfactant, such as Pond Logic Treatment Booster Plus.  Dilute using 2 oz of Weedtrine D per gallon of water.  Add 1 ounce of Pond Logic Treatment Booster Plus per 10 gallons of your spray solution.   150 gallons (2.3 gallons of Weedtrine) of this solution will treat 1 acre.

Duckweed:

Requires the use of a non-ionic surfactant, such as Pond Logic Treatment Booster Plus.  Dilute using 5 oz of Weedtrine D per gallon of water.  Add 1 ounce of Pond Logic Treatment Booster Plus per 10 gallons of your spray solution. 130 gallons (5 gallons of Weedtrine) will treat 1 acre.

Marginal Weeds:

Requires the use of a non-ionic surfactant, such as Pond Logic Treatment Booster Plus.  Dilute using 6.5 oz of Weedtrine D per gallon of water.  Add 1.6 ounces of Pond Logic Treatment Booster Plus per 10 gallons of your spray solution. 130 gallons (5 gallons of Weedtrine) will treat 1 acre.
