1/3 HP to 1 HP

All motorized Scott Aerator products use Franklin Electric motors and our replacement motors are the same as original equipment. These incredible two-wire motors utilize a split-phase design with integral starting components and on-winding thermal overload protection. Motor sizes below 2 hp do not require a control box. They feature a two-wire BIAC starting switch with which provides reverse-impact torque to aid starting in adverse conditions.

By default, the motors come with only the motor lead (18") but lengths of power cord are available as an additional option.

2 HP to 3 HP

All motorized Scott Aerator products use Franklin Electric motors and our replacement motors are the same as original equipment. The three-wire motors (our 2 hp and 3 hp models) require the use of control boxes (see the options box). Operation of motors without control boxes or with incorrect boxes can result in motor failure and voids the warranty. Control boxes contain starting capacitors, a starting relay, and, in some sizes, overload protectors, running capacitors, and contactors. The control box and and motor are two pieces of one assembly — since a motor is designed to operate with a control box from the same manufacturer, we can promise warranty coverage only when a Franklin Electric control box is used with a Franklin Electric motor.

By default, the motors come with only the motor lead (18") but lengths of power cord are available as an additional option.
